It's a gift to reach 70, as Mr Mah Bow Tan has just done. Joined his family and friends to celebrate his birthday last night.
We fought our first election together in 1984. He lost that year, but won in the following GE in Tampines GRC, where he was MP until he retired from politics in 2015.

Bow Tan served in several ministries, including Trade and Industry, Communications, and Environment. As Minister for National Development, Mr Mah pushed to build @gardensbythebay. It has become a distinctive part of the Singapore skyline, a popular #jalanjalan spot that many generations will enjoy. So it was a nostalgic trip down memory lane for us to gather in the Flower Dome for this happy occasion.
