Washington State has five very prominent volcanoes that are heavily glaciated and significantly higher than their nearby peaks. These five include Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens, Glacier Peak, and Mt. Baker. At 10,781', Mt. Baker is the second most thermally active volcano in Washington State, second only to Mt. St. Helen's.
