Somehow I always wrote off sea kayaking as a boring endeavor. it wasn’t until I went on a sea kayaking trip with my buddy Tony Hoare that I realized just how amazing it is glide across the ocean silently. I have never had such a connection with nature as I did while sea kayaking. On this trip we had whales breaching nearby, dolphins racing down a corridor of island channels, salmon hopping right up onto our spray skirts, sea lions coming over to check us out and a feeling of harmony with the environment. We were just yet another creature out on the water like everything else around us. If you have never sea kayaked, I highly recommend it—especially in a gorgeous area like Vancouver Island. #vancouverisland #canada #seakayaking
