The #BamburgCastle on the eastern coast of #England in beautiful #Northumbria is one of my favorite places I have ever visited. I first visited as part of an Anglo Saxon story for @ナショナルジオグラフィック. In 590CE the castle came under Anglo-Saxon control, but in 993CE the #Vikings destroyed the fort, but after a revolt in 1095 the became the property of the #EnglishMonarch. @atedge #LeicaM10
