STORY TIME? - A lot of you ask me about my fitness journey. So here’s how I started. - - On the left was my very first show where I won my class of 7 girls. On the right is when I won my pro card. There’s 6 months difference between the 2 pictures. - - At the time I was working 3 jobs 7 days a week from dark to dark waking up at 3:15am. My first job was in an office 9-5 Mon-Fri with a 3 hr commute. Second job at a sports bar Fri-Sun nights. Third job Costco rep sat-sun mid days. - - I didn’t know my direction at the time but I always had a hard work ethic because nothing was ever handed to me. I remember having no time in the day to do cardio so I would take my only down time (my lunches) switch into my workout clothes and go run (no excuses). I was getting an average of 4-5 hrs of sleep with the 3 jobs and just starting competing. - I went on to do 5 shows in 6 months. I was told many times I would never get my pro card cause I didn’t have the boobs and my abs were too dominate. I never heard what people said cause I knew in my heart I could do it but was still scared of the unknown. - I overcame so many obstacles in this 6 month journey with the guidance of @omarv33. He had the guidance I had the heart and fight. We didn’t have that much experience but knew that we could DO IT! - I remember arriving in Miami Nov 7, 2011 for nationals (where you can earn your pro card) like it was yesterday. We didn’t have a fridge so I had to eat frozen tilapia and raw asparagus. It was also my first time ever getting on a plane I was scared but nothing was going to stop me. My coach met me there. I stepped on stage and got placed dead center and never moved. It was the best victory to date. - - Going into my 34th show for Portland and after 3 local shows, 2 national shows, 28 pro shows and 2 Olympia’s it’s always been my dream to WIN a pro show which I have yet to do despite the odds I know in my heart the day will come where I get my victory!? - I just wanted to remind y’all to never give up and never lose hope because no matter the ODDS or CIRCUMSTANCES life will reward those who don’t give up! - - #TeamVentura
