Property developer James Perkins has filled his 18th-century country house with an eye-popping collection of Victorian taxidermy, classical statues, antique globes and much more. #MyCollection

Perkins’s collection started with The Smurfs when he was 12 years old. When he was 15, he bought his first classical bust with his paper round money – now, he has 4,500 pieces of classical sculpture.

In addition, he has 200 antique globes. ‘They’re all my favourites,’ he says. ‘A good handful of the countries aren’t called that name anymore. Their boundaries no longer exist. I think that’s fascinating.’
