a bundle of queen anne’s lace collected from the edges of the field this morning plunked in a vase- now standing bedside brightening the room on this soupy summer’s day. these blooms are synonymous with late summer here at the farm .

watching storms approach over the far hills and across the field - the sky taking on a similar color palette outside to in - fierce and torrential they disappear nearly as fast as they arrived with a burst of sunshine at the end - this has been the pattern for days now - almost so predictable that I could set my watch by them .
