This remarkably preserved and recently rediscovered panel is an impressive addition to the work of the late 15th-century Aragonese master, Miguel Ximénez.

Here, Saint Michael appears as a holy knight in a gleaming suit of armour, holding a balance with two diminutive figures representing souls. To his right, three angels ushers souls into Heaven; to his left, various demons cast the damned to hell.⠀
