When I speak about body confidence I do so with the most sincerest intent my darlings. Although I can see how words are misconstrued because everybody reads text and interprets it in their own way, whereas the emotion and sentiment of a voice makes everything immediately clearer. I don’t have the luxury of sharing my voice in this post so I hope you’ll bare with me here. I believe every man woman and child alike deserves to feel happy in their own skin and however they do so is their freedom of choice. Yes I praise natural beauty and accepting the body you were born with, but equally I’ve faced medical complications in my life which I’ve corrected with surgery and it’s made such a difference to my health - from my breasts which grew at different heights and sizes to fixing my short sightedness and headaches with laser eye surgery, removing my labia after excess tissue caused chaffing and pain my whole life and finally wanting to remove the bump on the bridge of my nose which allowed me to straighten my deviated septum and now I can breathe properly for the first time in my life. I’ve made these changes to improve my health and wellbeing whilst others may simply do it to look and feel better, which I also support. If something upsets you or causes you pain, discomfort or low self confidence then you have every right to change that. We should be grateful for the bodies we are born with and the freedom of choice to make ourselves feel better. Some like to wear makeup, have botox, fillers, dye their hair, have fake nails, fake eye lashes, fake tan, hair extensions, nice clothes, tattoos and piercings - all forms of enchancing our appearance to boost our confidence. Day to day I’m a sporty tomboy and live in trainers and gymwear but I love getting glam and putting on a dress just as much as every girl. Whatever makes you happy inside is what makes you beautiful my darlings, and that should be judged by yourself for yourself, not to meet others expectations -----------------------
