‘Femme à l’écharpe’ is counted among Fernand Léger best works on paper, and once belonged to Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace.

After the Second World War, Léger became disenchanted with the mechanical forms that once dominated his work. ‘Femme à l’écharpe’ is a beautiful example of the organic, naturalistic style that came in his late career.
