In the 1990s, Cartier designed a series of dress rings, setting a central stone within elaborate or bold pavé-set diamond shoulders. Each design was given a distinct name – this ring was called ‘Julie’.

‘The Cartier “Julie” ring is set with a fine Kashmir sapphire of 7.10 carats, which exemplifies the most coveted attributes of sapphires from this part of the world,’ explains Jessica Elliott, our Jewellery specialist in London.

‘It exhibits a lively and saturated “Royal Blue” colour which, together with the characteristic velvety texture, causes the stone to seemingly glow from within.’
