Two liberated male Condors fight over food in the mountains of north west state of Boyaca in El Vilencio, Colombia.
Andean condors are the largest species of the new world with a wingspan of up to 10.5 feet and weighing as much as 33 pounds. They are found in patchy distributions throughout the Andes mountains from Colombia to southern Chile and Argentina.
This species is described as uncommon and probably declining. Its population is estimated to number at least 10,000 individuals in South America.
