This started because her father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2003, and since that time she hasn’t stopped fighting for a cure and has become one of the nation’s premier Alzheimer’s advocates.

Maria is also the founder of the nonprofit The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement, which is hosting Move for Minds – a month-long initiative this June to educate the public about brain health and raise funds for women-based Alzheimer’s research.
