A deviated septum is a condition in which the nasal septum - the bone and cartilage that divide the nasal cavity of the nose in half - is significantly off center, or crooked which makes breathing difficult. I had my adenoids removed from my nose and throat as a child as I was unable to breathe and never knew any different afterwards, I always thought my airways were ok. It wasn’t until I consulted with my surgeon that I discovered I still struggled to breathe properly and a rhinoplasty surgery would make a great difference to both the quality of my life and athletic ability. At times I become breathless during activities, struggle to breathe when running and fail to fall into a deep sleep at night as I wake up suddenly every couple of hours to take a deep breath - my mum and son also suffer from the same symptoms which made me think it was normal to be like this but it isn’t. Aesthetically I’ve always been self conscious of the bump on the bridge of my nose thanks to my Hungarian heritage but the amazing work that has been done by @dr._aslani through @serenecosmetic_ has totally changed my life and runs far deeper than what you can see on the surface. I can not recommend the team more highly for their pure professionalism, attention to detail and aftercare throughout, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my dreams come true ?
