One key trick to getting a wide, tapered back with dumbbell rows is to flare your elbow about the same amount as you would on a powerlifting style bench press. When you pull, do so with your elbow, not your hand. It’ll make all the difference! Incorporate this for the 2nd or 3rd exercise for your next back day, pick a weight that’s comfortable and work your way up. Focus on the contraction and squeeze! -
