Gabrielle Union is an American actress, producer, activist, designer, and author. This beauty began her career by appearing in multiple 90s sitcoms such as: Saved By The Bell: The New Class, Sister Sister, and Moesha. Her breakout role was in the iconic cheerleading film Bring It On (2000). She then went on to star in countless films and TV series making her a household name. Since 2013, Union is best known as Pauletta, the fiercely successful TV news anchor, on the critically acclaimed BET drama Being Mary Jane, which she also serves as executive producer. Not only is Union an amazing actress, she is also an outspoken voice on many issues and an advocate for survivors of sexual assault. She has even opened up about her own personal experiences, especially in her bestselling memoir, We’re Going to Need More Wine. Union exposes raw and honest stories about it all - her childhood, marriage, sexuality, power, color, gender, feminism, and fame. She gets real. Union’s success is not slowing down anytime soon. Next month, she will been seen starring in Universal’s thriller film, Breaking In, which she also produced alongside Will Packer Productions. The film follows a single mother, Shaun (Union), who will stop at nothing to save her two kids from being held hostage during a home invasion. She tells Elle Magazine, “I wanted to do action, first and foremost. I wanted to kick ass, and I wanted to be a strong woman who takes her family’s safety into her own hands.
