This time last year, I was proud to help @LUNABar launch their #EqualPay initiative. #Ad I found it important to use my platform to bring awareness for the many women in my life that were being unfairly paid. Women, on average, are STILL paid 20% less than men for the same work, and for Black and Latina women it is even worse. So many factors, out of our control, contribute to the gender wage gap, but one thing women can do to help themselves move closer to pay parity is to negotiate. I am working on this action myself as I enter into new spaces. So as someone who wants to practice what they preach I feel very honored to help support the #LUNABar equal pay campaign this year as they work to empower women to advocate for pay equality through the power of negotiation.
