explorations of all the twisting little back streets here in tel aviv- finding textures as lovely to look at as flowers or front door colors in new england - faded and gentile. a bit of an escape and slower pace from work have helped me to see things with refreshed eyes. The truth is, I don’t think creativity is something you are born with, instead, it is something you nurture and grow, something which must be attended to everyday, something around which you must build a sustainable practice that you can come back to each day and the truth in that, is just like anything else, sometimes this means knowing when to rest too. Here, it’s been time to rest and that slowing down has made space for new inspiration in the unexpected (& hoping it doesn’t say anything too cheeky on the wall) to creep in.
