Photographed in moonlight, this is spring nightscape of Alborz Mountains in Iran, facing Mt Damavand with the constellation Cassiopeia standing above the peak. Damavand is a massive stratovolcano last erupted about 7000 years ago. It is just 70km away from Tehran, reaching more than 5600 meters high (~ 18,500 ft), the highest volcano in Asia and a legendary mountain in the Persian culture.
