I am just returning from an incredible assignment in #Baja, #Mexico, where I had the opportunity to get up close and personal with several gray whales. This was shot with an underwater housing and a 14mm lens, so you can tell how close this beautiful whale is. There really is nothing like looking a whale directly in the eye and making a brief, but profound, connection between our two very different worlds. The choice is strictly theirs to come close and make the connection, and yet over and over again these gentle giants choose to do so.
