Sometimes in this life we lose a little of ourselves because we become consumed with this idea of who we should be rather than who we are. Most days, we may need to be reminded that we are beautiful, that our beauty is our own unique individual beauty. We weren’t meant to all be the same. We can’t measure ourselves by what others perceive as beautiful, that is unrealistic. Beauty is how we see ourselves and how we feel about ourselves, which in reality is the confidence that we have in ourselves. No one in this life will ever measure up to anyone else’s idea of beauty because we are flawed. Those flaws aren’t imperfections, they define every aspect of our lives. Those “flaws” tell a story that is uniquely our own and that makes us much more interesting that any interpretation of beauty any may have. Trust who you are and don’t let anyone else’s idea of beauty cloud your mind and make you feel as if you’re anything less than what you are. In your heart, you know who you are. Tell yourself, “I am beautiful!” _
