Billie Jean King (Born 1943) King won 39 Grand Slam titles in tennis, 12 in singles, 16 in women’s doubles and 11 in mixed doubles. As well as being a former world #1 tennis player, King is an advocate for gender equality and social justice. In 1973 at age 29 King won the “Battle of the Sexes” match against Bobby Riggs.
