My old friend Marty Krofft passed away. He produced a show that was a highlight of my career - the 1985 Patti LaBelle Thanksgiving Special. He wanted to have the performances in the round so I got to sing with Patti that way. When Patti sang “Time After Time,” I felt like “Ok, drop the mic. Her voice on something I wrote? OMG!”

Thank you #MartyKrofft for have that kind of faith in me. Wow. I will always be grateful to him for inviting me.
