Sweets - the Latina downfall ??‍♀️ I can do without French Fries and potato chips but when it comes to dessert I’m a sucker for cakes, soft chewy cookies and anything a la mode! ?

I tried giving up sweets in entirety before and what I found was that restricting myself actually caused binging episodes where I would find myself eating an entire batch of cookies or half of an entire cake ?.

For those who binge, you know the feeling. Food takes over. You eat more than you know you should. You eat until you feel sickly full. And you think you can’t control it.

Binging can stem from emotions but it can also stem from physical needs. To keep your hunger and appetite in check, you need to ensure you’re getting enough nutrients throughout the day or you’re likely to overeat later on in the day (such as when you get home from work).

So how do you stop it? Let go of everything you think you know about dieting. I see this all the time: clients have high standards when it comes to their eating, so when they eat something that doesn’t align with their ‘perfect’ diet plan, they punish themselves with a binge. It’s really important to stop classifying food as good/bad, so that in turn, you can stop describing your eating as perfect/imperfect!
