Influential British photographer Bill Brandt was known for his reportages and explorations of the female nude. Most of the prints in our auction were made for the landmark ‘Bill Brandt’ exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, in 1969 – the artist’s first major show in the United States.

All works from this auction are sold to benefit the acquisition fund for the Museum’s Department of Photography.
