It's not my thing to bash someone, and it's a very sensitive topic. No matter what you say or how wisely you choose your words, there will be people who will send disturbing comments. I'm not the type that wants to shed light on something that's already so horrible. But I wanted to stand up for the Japanese people and the community. My blood is 100% Japanese, and I wanted to share about the truth and beauty of Japanese culture. I didn't have an interviewer to speak with (which made it even harder for this already iffy topic!) and spoke for over an hour by myself. This was content that I had no editing or creative control over either, so I wasn't sure how the video was going to turn out. However, the response has been positive and supportive, and I am so thankful for those who left kindhearted words in the comments of the video. The full video is about 15 minutes long and entirely in English, but I would really appreciate it if you can take a bit of time out of your day to watch and support. Many thanks to CBS for providing me the opportunity to speak up about this. 長くなります！すみません? 最初このオファーを頂いた時、出演するかすごく悩みました。もちろんこのトピックについては知っていましたが、人を批判する形となる事と特にセンシティブなトピックと言う事で、何を言っても、どんなに言葉を選んでも、色々言われるだろうなと思いました。ですが、私には100％日本の血が流れていますし、日本が大好きです。日本のことをとても大切に思っている気持ちを伝えるために出演を決めました。海外の方にもっと日本の本当の素晴らしさを知って欲しかったからです。実際には1時間以上話し続け、自分で編集できるコンテンツでもない為とても不安でたまりませんでしたが、反響はポジティブで、世界中の人々からの温かい声にとても感謝しています。今までCBS Inside Editionがアップした中で歴代最長らしく、全て英語ですが、日本人と日本の文化についてですので、観て頂けると幸いです。リンクはインスタストーリーにあります！✨
