north of Mozambique is where the Portuguese built some of the most beautiful examples of colonial surrounded by an indico color sea. The Portuguese established a port and naval base on the island that became the capital of colonial Portuguese East Africa for almost 400 years.
Nowadays locals are living in their colorful way in the island and inside those buildings, creating a unique and charming post colonial atmosphere.
