Dixie Ranch is part of a Northern Everglades water storage project that was setup by the World Wildlife Fund and several state and federal partners. The project shows that rehydrating historic wetlands on working ranches throughout the Everglades watershed helps cleanse and store freshwater that is essential to people and wildlife.
