On another note, I am facing the end of 2017 with tranquillity and determination, but with a sense of ease. I remember last year, I read something by @elizabeth_gilbert_writer, about creating one’s own ritual, writing what we want to achieve, maybe lighting a candle or an incense, and give meaning to simple actions that can help you remember a goal. A goal, which is different from a resolution, is something that we can work on to achieve. It’s more approachable to believe in being able to work on something during the way, than to be something completely different from one day to another.
So a couple of weeks of ago, I picked up a new notebook and I wrote my goals for 2018 in the first page. Some are quite big, wordy and existential, some, quite mundane. What matters, is that ritual of writing, of remembering, recording. I did this for the first time last year, and the effect it made was undeniable.
