Next Monday the president is expected to announce serious cuts to one of America's newest and most spectacular National Monuments. Currently the Bears Ears is over 1.3 million acres of slickrock desert in southern Utah. It was established after decades of work by local communities to help protect the thousands of archaeological sites within the monument.
