Ready to set sail for tonight’s Modern & Post-War British Art auction, with this exquisitely delicate 1935 #watercolour of #Newhaven #Harbour by Eric #Ravilious. The subject of a number of major recent exhibitions, his depictions of the English #country and #seasideare among the most sought after images of the past century. Tragically, his career was to be a short one, as he was shot down in a plane off the coast of Iceland during the Second World War. On view until 4pm today in our #London galleries.
