The love I have for this little girl Sophia is absolutely unexplainable...I’ve known her since before she was born & now that she’s 15, she said she even got a boyfriend!! ((:0)) Back in the 90’s, I used to work with her grandfather, John Sie, on trying to build a cable network, & while we didn’t wind up pursuing that project, we started working on another one that I truly believe was our divine calling. After John, his wife Anna, & their wonderful daughter Michelle found out that little Sophia had DS, they poured their heart & soul into creating the @globaldownsyndrome foundation...We then decided to create the annual Be Beautiful Be Yourself fashion show which serves to showcase the unbelievable beauty of the DS community & raise funds for research. We’ve been doing the show for 9 years now & to see the joy on all those kids faces last night as they strut across the stage was more than I could ever ask for. I’m so proud to have presented the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy award to my sista from anotha mista, Eva Longoria, & Madeline Stuart...Thank u both for what you are doing for the differently abled community. We love you!!
