Cut from a 404-carat rough, it has taken 1,700 hours and 14 master craftsmen and women to turn this spectacular stone into a wearable piece of jewellery.

‘I couldn’t do something very simple or that has already been seen. I needed a design that is outside-the-box,’ says Fawaz Gruosi, founder of de Grisogono.
