It is difficult to understand Howard Hodgkin’s work without first understanding his lifelong love of #India. The artist' personal collection includes a number of intricate #Indian miniature paintings dating from the 17th to the 20th century. Each presenting a vibrant palette reminiscent of Hodgkin's own work, the #painting ? here depicts a exquisite #palace scene with #Maharaja Man Singh on a Boat.
