Looking to build muscle?  Then add carbs and good lean sources of protein to your 1st meal of the day. You've hopefully slept and fasted for 8 hours and your body needs nutrients! If no, muscle is more likely to break down and be lost. If you aren't training in the morning then keep the carb portion moderate, but if you are going for a heavy lifting session first thing make sure to get a good amount of carbs and protein in! I am doubling up on protein sources from 4oz steak, 1 egg yolk and 3 egg whites. I am also giving myself a variety of carbs in the off season so what you see here is multiple sources coming from grits and pumpkin spiced cheerios. If you guys haven’t tried this stuff then you’re missing out, this cereal taste amazing and the profile can fit your macros. The old saying goes you got to eat big to be big, but it’s also important to understand what your body requires in terms of nutrition and how you will respond to the right type of training. Let's get on the right path and starting making greater strides in your physique.
