As President of the Imperial War Museum Foundation, The Duke of Cambridge visited the @imperialwarmuseums this morning to learn about the second phase of the museums transformation.
‘Transforming IWM London’ will create new galleries on the Second World War and the Holocaust and a digitally-enabled learning suite.

Opening in 2020, the museum will become the only space to physically tell thehistory of the Holocaust within the context of the Second World War.
The Duke also met Ted Cordery (Left) and John Harrison (Right) who served on HMS Belfast duringthe Second World War – and Freddie Knoller (Centre), who took part in the French Resistance.
The Imperial War Museum draws heavily on personal stories in order to tell a vivid narrative of the Holocaust, WWII and how they have shaped the world today. ?PA
