#TransformationTuesday So it’s been 9 months since I’ve stepped on stage! ?? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve been getting a lot of questions, mostly from new followers, regarding my competition history and any advice I have or insight I might shed on aspiring competitors (and no, this isn't a pick or choose which body you prefer. I am no take out menu ok let's continue ??) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I’ve deciphered a not-so-shabby list that I encourage you to read below. Do your friends a favour and tag them in this post to inform them as well? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨Find your why + let it stem from self-love. When I competed, I had strong intentions behind my entire prep. Those reasons were personal and etched in my being. I wasn’t trying to get to a superficial sense of beauty. I knew very well through an eating disorder than a picture perfect body was NOT going to fix my problems. With this in mind, my journey to stage was an invitation to experience the effect of positive intentions. They are indeed powerful and have given me an experience I will never forget. Because of my why’s, I look back on my competition experience with gratitude. I loved the journey and I would do it again, all for those reasons. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨Be realistic. It’s easy to jump on the bandwagon and anticipate stage 3 weeks into your lifting career. While I do believe in dreaming big, we must keep in mind  the physical and psychological demands PRIOR to picking out your suit colour. Some questions that need consideration are: your training age (i.e. how long have you been lifting), muscle mass (i.e. what is your body composition), metabolic history (i.e. have you dieted the past, have you experienced metabolic damage via ED or extreme forms of dieting), how is your current relationship with food, is fitness liberating or somewhat “fear-induced”) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ?(Continued in the comments)?
