This spring I hurt my left ring finger on Wet Dream (V12). I had linked it into three overlapping sections and was stoked to give it the fateful "one more go." ? I couldn't hold a toothbrush or open a door with my left hand. After taking some time off, I started climbing light again, while "X" taping ring, pinky, and middle fingers for extra support. Lately my training has been kicked up a few notches, and I finally feel like I'm getting back to where I was! Yesterday, as if after some iconic celestial alignment, I clipped the chains on "When I Was A Young Girl, I Had Me A Cowboy," 5.13a (pictured.) I feel like this marks some sort of mini personal climbing comeback, but what I'm most excited about is that yesterday was the first day I climbed without tape on any of my fingers since my injury. It was a good day! ??
