For the last twenty years, climbing has been the main priority in my life. It took precedence over family events, school, and every other sport I ever participated in.
But over the last year, climbing hasn't been my first priority. Maybe that's become apparent via social media, maybe not.
For the last year, my priority became myself. Spending time on who I am as a person, instead of my climbing, and bettering myself for the people around me.
During this year I've learned that I have the most incredible friends in the world, and a more supportive family than I ever knew.
I'm an introvert, and naturally a really private person. I have a hard time being vulnerable on social media, because I never want it to come across as complaining or making excuses.
Right now, I am definitely not the best or strongest climber I’ve ever been, but I am, without a doubt, the best person I’ve ever been, and to me that's far more important.
Recently I've found my love for climbing again with a reignited passion. For the companies that stood by me while I was working on myself, thank you. I'm looking forward to the future, and can't wait for whatever adventures are to come. Cheers.
