This is a fake picture. Swipe left for truth?? Shark baby hasn't slept in almost an entire week. I think now it has more to do with jet lag than anything but it's ROUGH. Normally I do nights on my own because "what's the point in waking Dennis up when I'm just breastfeeding anyway" buuut now it's gotten to the point now where I lie there awake, angry - angry! - at my husband for sleeping peacefully while baby fusses and kicks her legs around all night long. So! Last night I made him stay up with me to help? Big mistake???(huge) (yes that was a pretty woman reference) - this man cannot cope without sleep. Not even a little bit! Today I've dragged around two babies?? We took this photo at lunch after struggling through the hardest day ever and we look like two totally normal happy people so I can't post it in good faith when in reality we are so exhausted we almost fell asleep sitting up on the subway and we've snapped at each other too many times to count today. God. WE NEED SLEEP! This guy is doing a full Iron Man on Saturday and I'm leading a retreat on Thursday and aside from that, if I don't get a few straight hours of rest I think I'm going to do something wildly odd like forget to put pants on and leave the house or leave all the faucets in the apartment on (both of these things happened today). Tonight my mom is going to try to take the baby and we'll see what happens. I'm skeptical. Help us pray to all the sleep gods please!
