A western Harris’ hawk named Hudson at @thelivingdesert, a non-profit organization whose mission is to conserve deserts through preservation, education and appreciation.
Western Harris’ hawks are highly intelligent birds. They often hunt in groups of two to six, chasing their prey into open areas and then sharing their meal. Courtship between these birds occurs in groups of three-- two males and one female. They nest peacefully together and cooperatively raise their young.
