“The Sirindhorn Wararam Phu Prao Temple is located in the Ubon Ratchathani province of Thailand, at the top of a hill. In the day, there is a spectacular view over the surrounding Thai/Laos border, but you really need to visit this temple after dark. The glowing Kanlapaphruek tree at the back of the temple and on the ground is painted on with green phosphorescent paint as a form of contemporary art. Everyday people visit this place to witness this captivating scene blending the new and the old, as the green glow illuminates this temple shrouded in darkness.” Image captured by Marut Polprasith.
