"We drove around Valensole, France, searching for the right spot where the stars would align with the ruins and the blooming fields in July. There’s an app that we used to predict the position of the stars at certain timings. We slept in our van parked nearby and awoke to the sweet smell of lavender at twilight. I shot the foreground and background 3 hours apart – the landscape at sunset and Milky Way at night. It was indeed a magical night!” Image captured by Lucien Gorlier.
