Natural beauty is what I say it is. The real me is who I say I am . . I'm wearing makeup for the do-nothing Feminists out there hollering about fighting for "all skin matters", but they stop at acne and makeup and can't be bothered to stretch their "activism" to include intersections of race, age, class, accessibility, and gender identities . . I'm wearing makeup for all the women who have to shit on those of us who wear makeup so that they can truly feel confident about going without. FOH!!!! . . I'm wearing makeup for my trans Sisters who use makeup as a means of communicating their gender and don't need cis-Feminists dictating more unfair and unnecessary beauty standards . . I'm wearing makeup for my nonbinary Sisters who paint their faces and dress as they please because there are no rules, no hierarchies, no limits to identity representation . . I'm wearing makeup for my cross dressing Sisters who change their appearance as a means of escape and stress relief . . I'm wearing makeup for the young girls who are called whores because they're curious about makeup artistry and self expression. . . I'm wearing makeup because my TRUE self, the parts of me that go unseen, the sparkly, confident, no-shit-taking parts of me LOOK LIKE THIS. . . I'm wearing makeup because I want my kids to know they can do both, either, or neither. I'll fight for their access to agency and autonomy over their bodies."
