Fast food; the original edition, and as Roman as it gets. Thin, crisp slices of pizza "al taglio", the classic Margherita, the very savory one with ham, and very Roman one with potatoes. People who have never tried pizza with potato can find it very weird as it's carb on carb, but just go and try it (rigorously with rosemary, and /or thyme), and you'll find the only weird thing is that you can't get enough of it. I also got a side of broccoli and chicory, cooked twice. Again very Roman. And a chilled bottle of Peroni beer, because, gosh, how can we survive this heat without chilled beers? (Not a big beer fan in general, but I find it the only cure to the heat). All of this in authentic, beautiful bakery founded in the mid 1800s in the heart of #Trastevere. Happy days! ??✨
