As I travelled along this journey, many have doubted my path. Across high school hallways, I heard classmates call me “anorexic”. But I knew my name was Sarah.

I heard doctors tell me the limitations of recovery.
But I believed in who I was prior to my diagnoses.
I read book after book that told me to refrain from exercise because it would get obsessive.
But I was an athlete the minute I learned to walk. Moving my body is a blessing anorexia cannot take away from me.
I was told tracking calories and macros would only enhance an obsession towards food and numbers.
Instead, it offered me the scientific insight I needed to pursue a full recovery. I even grew so passionate that I switched degrees in university, where I now study food and nutrition health.
I don’t scoff at doubt. I welcome it all openly. Doubt has showed me what unconditional love truly means:

Never giving up on yourself, no matter what. ?
