The tradition of presenting snuff boxes as royal or diplomatic #gifts goes back to the early 18th century. At just 8.8cm wide, this magnificent little #gold example by Johann Christian Neuber (circa 1770) is garlanded by an intricately designed border of #forget-me-not #flowers and laurel.
