Island time! ??Modeled after Paul Gauguin's masterpiece of the same name, 'Day of Gods (Mahana no. Atua)' by Vik Muniz recreates the Tahitian #landscape made famous by Gauguin's Post-Impressionist painting over a century before, in 1894. The present work, from 2006, belongs to Muniz's 'Pictures of Pigment' series, in which the artist arranges colour on a flat surface and photographs the final product.
