Josef Albers dissected #painting into form and #colour through his series, 'Homage to the Square'. The #artist shared an intense symbiotic #creative partnership with his wife Anni, perhaps the most preeminent #textile artist of the twentieth century. The couple studied at the #Bauhaus together, and also shared roles teaching at Black Mountain College of the liberal arts in #NorthCarolina. Annie Albers was #bornonthisday in #Berlin in 1899; today we celebrate her life.
