Today, organisations from across the capital came together in the gardens of Buckingham Palace to mark the 130th anniversary of London Youth. The reception was hosted by the charity's Patron The Duke of Edinburgh.
London Youth is a diverse network of over 300 community youth organisations who work to support young people of all backgrounds across the capital to become the best that they can be.
His Royal Highness became Patron of London Youth in 1947 – it was his first charity patronage. Since then he has undertaken over 125 engagements with the charity over the course of 70 years.

The reception brought together the charity's closest supporters, youth workers and aspiring young leaders who are involved in delivering a range of programmes on youth action and leadership, sports development, employability, the environment, tackling youth crime and youth work training. ?
